A Power of Attorney (PoA) allows another person to act on your behalf in property matters.
Types of PoA:
General PoA: Grants broad rights to buy, sell, or manage property
Special PoA: Limited to a specific transaction or action
Steps to Register a PoA:
Draft the PoA on stamp paper (PKR 1,200–2,000 value)
Get it attested by a Notary Public or Sub-Registrar
If issued overseas, get it attested at the Pakistani embassy and then registered locally
Use Case in Property Sales:
If you're overseas, you can authorize someone in Pakistan to sell your commercial property on your behalf using a Special PoA.
